June 2012As part of The Mayfair Magazine's June 2012 edition, this large and impressive gilt wood chandelier (pictured within the magazine article to the right) was chosen to highlight the positive aspects of using classical pieces within modern interiors. Made from carved gilt wood, the twenty-five light chandelier dates from the second half of the 19th century and at over 2m in height, would be ideally placed in an entrance hall or other communal area. As described in the article 'chandeliers are the perfect way to add a sense of presence and opulence to a space'. The contemporary example was made from Italian Murano glass and retailed by Top Domus.
